During one of our routine property checks, the Leylandii trees in the back garden have now reached an excess height, and will need to be pruned back as soon as possible. The trunks looked strong, and free from any damage.

Leylandii tree , is hedging and privacy screening due to its dense foliage. Known for its exceptionally rapid growth (up to 1 metre a year), it requires regular maintenance to prevent it from reaching excessive heights of over 30 metre.

Although these trees make very good screening trees, they can block light/TV signals. Always include them in your pre property purchase price. If these trees are already mature in height, it will always include a large bill later on ( sometimes several thousands of pounds) to have them prune back to an acceptable height.

If your thinking of planting these trees, always keep checking on them regularly, to keep them pruned at acceptable height.
